Love Actually, because love is everywhere

Set in the contemporary London during the two months preceding Christmas, Love Actually, directed by Richard Curtis, weaves together a series of funny and poignant stories that form into one, but with many highlights on Christmas day. Love equals of all when it comes to complicate them life, acting as a common thread in all of them. The loves and lives of all of these Londoners are mixed and interwoven with romantic, funny and bittersweet results for all who have had the luck or the misfortune of falling in love.

While the new British Prime Minister (Hugh Grant) falls for a member of his cabinet (Martine McCutcheon), a writer (Colin Firth) discovers that his girlfriend (Sienna Guillory) is unfaithful with his brother, so he decides to go to the South of France, where he will know his new Assistant (Lucía Moniz).A happily married woman (Emma Thompson) begins to suspect that her husband (Alan Rickman) is cheating with his Secretary (Heike Makatsch). On the other hand, a newly married young woman (Keira Knightley) does not understand the surly attitude of the best friend of her husband (Andrew Lincoln). We will also discover how a widower (Liam Neeson) stepfather decides to help her stepson of eleven years (Thomas Sangster) to conquer the most popular girl at his school. At the same time, an Executive (Laura Linney) Decides to take the first step with another co-worker that takes time in love (Rodrigo Santoro). And, as a brooch to this mishmash of stories, an old rocker (Bill Nighy) prepares its stellar comeback in a very peculiar way. All of them
are some of the lives and tangles which we discover in this film, featuring a large cast of great actors.

Love Actually, first film directed by Curtis, develops in a constantly jump from a story to another, creating a puzzle that is easy to follow thanks to the fluidity with which the scenes, are happening being the precursor of this style movies such as stories of Valentine's or year's Eve night, both directed by Garry Marshall. Thus, the structure of the film gets its objective of engaging the interest of the Viewer, allowing you to maintain a certain capacity to surprise. His proposal and his message are so wide that it can satisfy a large number of spectators.
Love Actually is a dynamic comedy that does not bored at all and that benefits from excellent performers and a series of moments that manages to excite the audience thanks to the simplicity and the evolution of the lives of the characters. Another point in favour to highlight is, without doubt, fleeting but extremely funny appearances as Rowan Atkinson, that raises a smile with his mere presence. In addition, music is also very present in the film, from its wonderful introduction with the instrumental version of Love Is All Around, Wherever You Will Go, The Calling, or the known-through theme Here With Me, Dido, accompanying one of the most disturbing scenes of the film.
.Love Actually is, in fact, an abbreviation of Love Actually Is All Around. This is precisely the argument of the film: everywhere you look, love is the engine and is the driving force of our lives. From Prime Ministers to the old rock stars, from a cold head of school until a Portuguese Assistant that knows no other language; the film features funny, sad and stupid aspects of love in all its forms and sizes. That is the true charm of Love Actually: your message
This is why what is manages to distinguish many other romantic comedies, because your message ends up being a call to optimism and overcoming. A challenge which we must overcome is perfectly transmitted and by each of its characters. In short, a perfect movie for these dates and illusions on this night of Kings. Because, if you pay enough attention, you will discover that, actually, love is everywhere

Jeff Conaway (Grease)

Jeffrey Charles William Michael "Jeff" Conaway (October 5, 1950 – May 27, 2011) was an American actor best known for his roles in the movie Grease and two US television series, Taxi and Babylon 5. Conaway was also featured in the first and second season of the reality television series, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. In May 2011 after spending just over two weeks in the hospital, Conaway died at the age of 60 due to complications related to pneumonia and the degenerative brain condition known as encephalopathy.

Conaway appeared in the original cast of the Broadway musical Grease, as an understudy to several roles including that of the lead male character, Danny Zuko, and eventually succeeded role-originator Barry Bostwick. He played the role for 2 1/2 years while his friend John Travolta, with whom he shared a manager, later joined the show, playing Doody in the chorus. The two would reunite in the 1978 motion picture musical Grease, in which Travolta played Zuko and Conaway his buddy Kenickie.

In addition to acting, Conaway also dabbled in music. In the mid-1960s, he was the lead singer and guitarist for a rock band, The 3 1/2. They recorded four singles for Cameo Records in 1966 and 1967:

  1. "Don't Cry To Me Babe" / "R & B In C" (Cameo 425, 1966)
  2. "Problem Child" / "Hey Mom Hey Dad" (Cameo 442, 1966)
  3. "Hey Gyp" / "Hey Kitty Cool Kitty" (Cameo 451, 1967) (This single was produced by Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, who also wrote the B-side. The A-side is a song by Donovan.)
  4. "Angel Baby (Don't You Ever Leave Me)" / "You Turned Your Back On Love" (Cameo 485, 1967)

In 1979, Conaway recorded a self-titled debut album for Columbia Records. "City Boy" was released as a single. Bruce Springsteen's manager, Mike Appel, produced the album.
The CD Saints & Sinners, by Vikki and Kenickie, was released independently via the internet in 2008, featuring Conaway singing and rapping with Vikki Lizzi (Spinoza). They promoted the CD on The Howard Stern Show on April 2, 2008 and performed live shows in the Los Angeles area.

On May 11, 2011, Conaway was found unconscious from what was initially described as an overdose of substances believed to be pain medication and was taken to Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center in Encino, California, where he was listed in critical condition. After initial reports, Dr. Drew Pinsky, who had treated Conaway for substance abuse, said the actor was suffering not from a drug overdose but rather from pneumonia with sepsis, for which he was placed into an induced coma. Though his pneumonia was not directly a result of drug usage, drug usage hampered Conaway's ability to recognize how severely ill he was and to seek treatment for pneumonia until it was too late.
On May 26, 2011, Conaway's family took him off life support after doctors decided there was nothing they could do to revive him. Conaway died the following morning at the age of 60. Conaway's doctor attributed his death to his addiction, stating, "What happens is, like with most opiate addicts, eventually they take a little too much ... and they aspirate, so what's in their mouth gets into their lungs ... That's what happened with Jeff."
An autopsy performed on Conaway revealed that the actor died of various causes including pneumonia and encephalopathy attributable to drug overdoses.
